    This quote sent me over the edge...

    The people are so desperate that they're doing anything they can think of to impress the authorities enough to bring some buses. These things include standing in single file lines with the eldery in front, women and children next; sweeping up the area and cleaning the windows and anything else that would show the people are not barbarians.

                              the fact that children have to leave their pets behind because they wont let them on the bus to the astrodome did it for me - and then when they get there they refuse them because the fire marshal cut off the capacity - it's the domino effect and downward spiral

                                      What an absolutely awful disaster. Our hearts are all breaking and you just feel so helpless not being able to just get there and do something. I have personally donated money to the Red Cross but somehow that feels like a cop out. The devastation is just so vast. I just heard the interview with the Mayor of New Orleans. He is absolutely right. No more press conferences, just move the whole freaking US amy, navy, marines whatever in there and take over the city.
