Let me first start by saying that my heart and prayers are always with the victims.

You can laugh at the Canadian armed forces all you want. But disaster relief and peace keeping is what we are known for in this world. We are by far the world leaders in this area and even former presidents Nixon and George Bush Sr. acknowledged that.

As the joke goes; Ask any refugee in this world if he knows about canada. They will answer "Yes that is the nation that feeds us after the United States blows us up."

The best thing for the United States would be to allow Canada to come in and do our job. Fuck the politics "There are people suffering."

So I will have to agree with my husband on this one....

"They didn't complain or refuse our help when they needed some place to land their aircrafts during 9/11. Americans were more than happy for the fuel, food and warm beds to sleep in that we provided and paid for.

Their people don't complain when they are between the ages of 18-21 and come up to Montreal, guzzle our beer and screw cheap hookers.

In short, America and Americans take and use everyone when it benefits them and give no credit or respect when it is due. But what do you expect from a culture that prides itself on acting like Jerry Springer show guests?

For whatever reason their moronic goverment doesn't want our help, then perhaps it's a good thing. This idiot president was elected by the people of the good old U.S.A.

Yes it is harsh and once again I pray for the victims and survivors. But I think my hubby said it well in the above. (I clipped it from an email he sent to a friend)

So, go ahead and clean up your own mess this time. Learning to pick up after yourself is the first step in becoming responsible adults. Perhaps Canadians have had enough of doing that for Americans. And since my country is not going to be involved in this, then I'm not going to give additional attention or thought to this.
