Bake you don't even have to look overseas. Remember back to when the cyclone flattened Darwin on Christmas Eve night.

Relief supplies were going in within hours and back then the weather forecasting was nothing like it is today - they had plenty of advanced warning for Katrina.

You need to give Bush a break. The first day he had the impossible task of trying to tie Iraq to World War II. If that wasn't hard enough, THEN he had to go back to the ranch and pack..... don't you realize how AWFUL it must be to cut your month long vacation short by a few days.... NOT FUN! Anway, then the next day, well, you know how travel days are wasted. And today..... "The don't buy gas if you don't need it" speech will easily go down in history as one of the strongest heartfelt speechs of all history. ;)
