It was only a few weeks before I could no longer get that nickname due to the number of people using it, so I began calling myself blackwolf ... and redwolf when someone else was using my primary nickname.
Eventually, I couldn't get any variation of wolf that sounded cool... after trying about 10 different names and not being able to get one, I yelled, "Dadgummit, WOLF! " and pounded "dagwolf" into the keyboard as a contraction of that.

My nick comes from my company name, which in turn was inspired by a book I read when I was a child. I was a heavy reader of Pierc Anthony books, especially the Apprentice Adept series.
SplitInfinity was book one of that series and was the book that made me look at things differently in the world. I was stuck on the title of the book and so I branded myself SplitInfinity on BBS's way back in the day. I played alot of D&D games online and was heavily involved in the BBS dial up world.
SplitInfinity has been in business as a company since 1994 (yep, 10 years yall!)
but the name was with me when I was just a kid.
