    NYC Expo = NO GO

    Well, OK Guys..

    Let's forget about New York for this year...

    I just received the call from Marriott, and there is no way for them to be able to accomodate us for the week-end we wanted (october 8-9th) and the week-end after is Island Getaway, no way for us to conflict with any other event... We were waiting for them with a proposal for 2 months now...

    At first (in March) we started this project with Loews Regency in New York. But it seams that more than 150 people is a bit complicated for such a small Boutique Hotel...

    We were also looking for some other hotels in New York, yes they have meeting space but all the rooms are booked... So it is almost impossible for us to take arrangements with any New York hotel in such a short notice...

    Meanwhile we will continue to work it out for October 2005.

We really tryied till last minute to save NY event for this year, but with Hotels delay and the time we spent organizing QWEBEC Expo. it would be impossible for us to provide an as nice show as we did in Quebec City...

                              Lesson learned. New York hotesl are VERY independents and take 3x more time to arrange something with them So we'll start this over again in couple of months. Maybe in February, we'll start to call/visit hotels in the Big Apple again to get sure we'll be ready for October 2005 NYC Expo.

                              QWEBEC won't be such as a big job next year since we now know where we are going better and where the pitfalls are ...

                                                      Does the hotel have to be in manhattan? if not try the Brooklyn Marriot. its two minutes in on the brooklyn side of the brooklyn bridge.
