The Doctor Told Me That I Have Walking Pneumonia

I haven't been feeling right for the past week so I went to the doctor and he told me that I had walking pneumonia.

I've had the regular type of pneumonia several times as a kid but never this walking variety. It's not bad enough where I have to stay in bed but it's really messing me up.

    Anyone ever have this before?

well just thank god the doctor only diagnosed you with walking pneumonia and you were spared the boogie woogie flu.

half this board wasn't alive for that reference
I moved my sites to Vacares Hosting. I've saved money, my hair is thicker, lost some weight too! Thanks Sly!

yeah I had it when I was about 18, I was working 2 jobs, sleeping about 4 hours a day, and the doc told me I needed to get more rest. you just run a fever on and off and stay exhausted alot. thats why they call it walking pneumonia, you can walk around and do everyday stuff, but you just feel very rundown all the time, and if you dont treat it your "episodes" will get progressively worse.

Yep, that is exactly what I was experiencing. I was also getting dizzy spells and nausea.

Yeah I had it before and nearly passed out, it can really fuck with you, it comes down to the fluid in your lungs. It took me a long long time to fight it off. Drink a lot of fluid

                      Yep ...
and this really is exactly how I cure that or any cold ...

get into a VERY HOT BATH for as long as you can stand it ...
while you have rye straight on the rocks 5 good stiff drinks ...
get out of the tub and wrap your head in a couple towels ...put two pairs of PJ's on then wrap yourself in blankets ... and CRASH ...
                      when you wake up ...
bad cold or pneumonia gone ...

                      works for me anyways ...

Yep, been there, done that. All as a result of exhaustion...too much work...too little sleep.

Try to rest up....eat a healthy diet. If you tend to be the type that stays awake all night, sleeps all day...try to reverse it and sleep at night instead. The body just doesn't seem to go as well sleeping during the day.

YEH!!! I think that's what I came back from Philly with ....

little mucous, raspy throat, stuffed nose, bad head ache today, bad headache when i woke up, and a light horse cough.

Fun Stuff. Can't wait for it to get worse. been doing the Orange Juice thing... might try the hot tub thing tonight before poker
