All this disasters made me believe that americans are less civilized then rest of the planet. It is interesting to see how the system works perfectly in good conditions, but once some disaster happens, it becomes a total chaos. People lose it so fast. I wonder how this country would look like if they had 10 years of chaos like Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and other eastern european countries after the split of USSR, which was a complete disaster. I bet it would be 1000 times worse.

1. As PR_Tom said, it's pretty narrow minded to paint a picture of AN ENTIRE NATION simply by watching a 2 minute video footage loop on CNN...
2. Check the statistics of New Orleans...the area has a very high poverty rate...I don't see how what's happening there right now translates to americans being less civilized thAn ppl in 3rd world countries.
