    Here's a picture of my AK..New stock, handguard, Bipod, and scope. With the new rules on assault weapons I am going to buy a new gun and get a threaded barrel, for a muzzle brake, and other than that keep the wood look.

    The thing is a blast to shoot, and VERY easy to maintain. I field stripped it to clear out a jam while shooting this weekend, and was setting all the parts down in the dirt as I disassembled it. Put it back together, dirt and all, and it shot just fine. Russian engineering is amazing - so simple and cheap, yet elegant and effective at the same time. Definitely no nonsense in these guns!

    Very accurate too - I didnt bring my glasses, which I usually bring, but I was still able to hit consistent groups on a 8" target at 75-100yds, using only the iron sites. Its the most fun you'll ever have with a 300 dollar gun!

        Gosh. A 30-round clip. Do you think you could hit your target before you ran out of bullets???? Or, do you just like the sound of automatic??? You sure couldn't hit anything with a full 30-round burst!

        You've heard about the VN "1000 yd" stare. It's the ability to relax your eyes enough to engage and destroy a target at that distance. And, it's a 'learned' trait.

        Hell, I could drop a guy with my Colt Gov't issued 45 at 100 yards.

                now that looks sweet too bad in california they have a lot of guns banned

                                I love shooting guns... great fun. Would never shoot anything living though. Unless it was me or them.

                                I used to own an FN copy... L1A1 Battle Rifle, a Chinese SKS Assualt Rifle, and a Winchester Defender, pistol grip pump action 12G.

                                Then freaked out one day and sold them all.
