dlp is cheaper than LCD

The toss up on DLP/LCD is this. LCD are smaller and more compact, however dlp can offer a better viewing angle.

As long as you can deal with the size of the dlp I think that "dollar for dollar" you will get a better tv with dlp.

with LCD if you drop a pixle you have to replace the whole screen, plus it's more fragile. with dlp you can touch the screen and if the bulb blows it usually costs you $500. much less than an LCD bulb which can be a thousand
