whats the score with merchant accounts

Some time ago we spent alot of man hours and money in attempting to set up our own merchant account to try take more control over our biz. All avenues led to nothing and we shelled out a fair number of bucks only to get zero. At 1 point we were even as far as intergrating with Netbilling before the bank based outside of the USA pulled the plug.

I aint looked at this in a while, but have again started to look.
We have high volume sales (all adult subscriptions) and low charge backs of under 0.02 percent month in month out. We have been in the biz for around 4 years and run a really tight ship.

Were incorporated in both the US and the EU, it seems the US wont touch adult or at least adult companies that are only incorporated their. So anyone no of any bank or comp that offers the possibity of processing our own cards for our sites ?
Were not interested in any semi merchant accounts,
e.g merchant set up which is really similar to a 3rd party processor, as we have looked at most of them and alhtough they offer the chance to process the cards they still take the money first and have crap payout times of 2 to 4 weeks in arrears with high fees attatched.

    answers anyone ?

watch out for bottom feeder resellers that are in the 4th-5th tier of account creation, I notice a couple of them on this board as well.

These fuckers are giving a bad name to honest folks. Quoting people at rates they know they can't qualify for, just to sucker hopeful clients into giving up the application fee. Next thing you know, the "6.7% is a definite" that they offered you is now 9%. They have nothing to lose, they just ate your app fee and are happy.

Bunker down hard and research your company before giving up any sort of application fee.

Get your rate in writing as well.

        Hi,
We can provide you with a US based Internet merchant account as long as you are under 1% in chargebacks. The fee will be around 3.7%-5% based on your volume. Send me an email and we can discuss.

I agree with JakeR. Many of the people offering merchant accounts are resellers for the merchant banks. When you have a problem with your account, you will be 5 steps away from the actual problem solver. We can discuss this more. You will have one point of contact with us.

Naw Netbilling could only assist if we actually lived in the US.
Which we dont. We incorporated their to enable 3rd party billing away from shitty EU 3rd party billers.

Hows things your end with the Tushy sites ? They looking really neat now!

hit me up and we can trade some traffic if you want

under 1 percent we are for sure, but as stated in this thread were not looking for 3rd or 4tf tier set ups.
I have no problem with paying fees but need the right kind of account. Email on the way.

This is exactly what we got burned with before. 4th - 5th vulchers. Apart from a real neat account with a german bank who gave everything we needed and then just as we were set with netbilling they pulled out of adult. Thing is we aint got a problem with 6 or 7 percent thats fine, so long as its the right kind of account.

I can't believe I am going to respond to you JakeR, but I think I will. You are suppose to be a professional businessperson right? You want people to use your services? Well so do I. I am simply providing someone with information and you are so bored and simple-minded that you have to try and make me look bad. If that got you off, then more power to you. I only wish I could be as cool as you. I mean, I actually work for iPAY and have a job. I don't have time to hit PrintScreen and post it on a board. I am not too certain what you are trying to prove by insulting me. I have worked with my company for over 7 years. I get health benefits, stock, 401k..doesn't sound like a reseller to me...nice try. Why don't you go and play golf in a lightening storm. :

                                          http://ipay.com

                                          is pretty different than www.ipay.com

                                          or even https://ipay.com

                                          Pathetic..
