People in florida should stop thinking that Hurricanes stop coming.

I grew up in Hurricane country. SPent weeks helping families and victims of floods in Hurricanes all over Southern Lousiana.

What kills me is the arrogance these people have.

MOVE OUT OF THE FUCKING WAY if you dont want hurricanes. I moved out of hurricane territory, you can too.

But noooo, lets stay here in our beach houses and fuck Mothe nature.

Every year they get hit by hurricane and the nation has to dump money for them to rebuild.

      fucking brilliance.

Not all the models have it strengthening to a Hurricane before landfall. If it does, it should only be a Category 1, nothing to bad.

You gotta keep your eyes on the tropics when you live down here.

ummm no one said we think they stopped coming.. just we normally get a little warning before they hit.. BTW I guess everyone should move out of Cali because of earthquakes and floods.. and all those people in the mid west better leave too because of tornado's. Oh and lets not forget about all those dumb fuckers that live up noth in blizzard territory.

My post has more to do with the CONSTANT reconstruction of the state and other hurricane bound lands.

The problem is how the media treats these hurricanes. Big deal, like we've never had storms before. As I said, ive spent weeks on small islands in Liousiaian in 4 feet of water. Grand Isle to be exact. And ive seen families lose everything.

Again, my post has more to do with the constant reconstruction of homes due to arrogance of the home owners.

California has to cut education 450 million, yet the old white folks on the beach in Florida get millions every year to rebuild their tennis courts.

my opinion is as useless as anyones.

AND YES< i have called the idiots who build homes on the side of mountains here in California the same.

The insurance companies win and the citizens lose every time.

anyone who builds on uncertain land simply for the location has issues.

houses on hollywood hills are rolling down the hill and they are just as dumb because they rebuild too.

i treat all idiots the same.

this thread was not about tornadoes - it was about HURRICANES.

I try to stay on topic. thus me only talking about hurricane teritory ;)

Brother Fletch, bless you, I hope God does not rain goat droppings on you but...

I have lived in FL for close to seven years now, and have never once been hit. Charlie came close last year (lost power for a week)

Most of the damage, and rebuilding comes from old code, and trailer park homes. Hurricanes hit all along the Eastern Coast of the US. Some make it into the gulf, and hit the Gulf States.

Texas gets hit by more cat3+ storms than Florida, should everyone move out of Texas? Where do you propose we go that's safe?

On a side note is there any reason not to like cheese?

Yea like I said.. I guess it's no diffrence in peoplew building their houses on sides of hills in Calli and having them washed away.. Or how about those fires that burn down hundreds of houses every so many years there in Calli. Then of course a nice big earth quake every 10 years or so..

Yea I guess it's only people in FL that build in stupid places.. Think about what you are typing before you post.
