-Village was great.
-Napoleon Dynamite was funny.
-Collateral had an amazing performance from Tom Cruise

But overall....GARDEN STATE...is the best movie this year.

I am bumping this.

Why? Because films like 'Without a Paddle' and 'Anacondas' should not exceed this movie, in box office earnings. A good movie is defined by it's cast and script. Not by how great it is force-fed (marketed) to the sheep of our society.

Saw it over the weekend... very good movie. Great story-driven movie, not dependent on even a one special effect to woo the viewer - and not a one obnoxious product placement that I could see. Zack Braff really did a great job with this one (writing, directing & acting).

In regard to Zach Braff, I definitely agree. I was actually off struck, when his name showed up in the credits as writer/director. I mean this guy is an actor on Scrubs for fuck's sake! Who the hell knew he pocessed such talents.

Kudos to him, I hope this movie picks up worth of mouth buzz,
and he gets Mel Gibson Passion of the Christ type of money.
