Yes, he went. So did I. Had JohnnyBoy gone Infantry, instead of dingys, he wouldn't have had anyone covering him, with all those purple hearts in such a short period.

I DO know that no "grunt" would ever walk around, in the bush, holding his 16 by the grip, barrel down. THAT, to us, stood out like a sore thumb. He was just an asshole before that pix was introduced. Then he got the "BS" label.Comment

I think Kerry knew that if he stayed over there much longer his own guys were gonna frag his ass, so he got the fuck out of Dodge.
