    Contracts and business license questions

So I'm looking to get into the business. I have a couple models lined up and I am looking to partner with a photographer. I am looking to set up a legitimate site the right way.

I am planning to get a contract signed in agreement to a partnership between me and the photographer, but I have questions as to what should be included in the contract. Does anyone have suggestions as to how I should process this? Lawyer and such details, what should I look for in a lawyer.

Also how do I setup the business end? Do I need to register it as a business with the ISR and also register the name and business as an LLC with the city?

I already read up on keeping 2257 records and such so I do know what is up in the webmaster side of things but I need a little more explanation on legal issues that may arise and what I should avoid.

Any links that could provide a little more info on this would be very appreciated. If anyone else has set up your business as a partnership with someone please provide details as to how you went about this. I am really interested in learning about the business issues that I should expect in order to avoid any problems down the road.

What you need is a lawyer that is familiar with the adult entertainment business and particularly the adult website business. Most attorneys would know very little about 2257 unless adult was their field of expertise.

I recommend either of these gentleman.

Just to be a little honest with you on the business side. I would think twice about formulating a partnership of any kind. Partnerships can get very ugly down the line. To keep it safe look into establishing an LLC with your local state and negotiate some percentage based independent contractor agreements with the photographer. Just my two cents.

Eightmotives is right.... don't form partnerships with people...you'll just find yourself in a world of shit. I also agree with hammer on the legal thing. Find a good 1st amend. attorney. There are some real good ones in Florida that I know of. You might want to look them up. : )

thanks for the heads up guys. I am actually from California so I don't know what good it would do to look for an attorney in Florida. I will keep looking and although the suggestion from eightmotives sounds like a better idea I don't really know where to start. Is there a site focused on adult laws that may provide sample paperwork or guidelines to solutions?

So far I have the backend ready and have some models lined up and ready to start shooting I just want to be ready with all the legal issues too
