This is like saying that people think that Vitasoy's replies are funny or that Lawrence Connor (Alan Greenspan) is sane.

Has anyone seen the movie? I saw the previews and I really thought this was going to be a disaster.. Looks like I was wrong.

I saw it. Pretty predictable but not all that bad.

Not on par with Wedding Crashers, but better than Dukes of Hazzard.

I see too many movies.

I've seen just about everything that's come out the theatres this year + alot of Direct to DVD releases. This is without a doubt my favorite movie of 2005. The story line isn't perfect and it does run a little long, but it's completely hilarious.

Anyone who doesn't think this movie is the best comedy of 2005 is just a jaded fuck.

PS - Deuce was pretty funny, but it can't hold a candle to 40 Year Old Virgin. It would make for a good warm-up though. Go see a matinee of Deuce 2, then hit the early show of 40 Year Old Virgin. Laugh your ass off.

It's tripe. Bland and uninspired, and it panders to the audience's low intelligence, which I hate. Wedding Crashers was better by a decent margin, as was say Anchorman last year.

This one was typical Hollywood drivel to me, and it will drop -60% in revenue next week, and another -25% the week after, just as "Dukes of Hazzard" did. I hear "March of the Penguins" owns though, buddy was raving about it...lol maybe I should "detox" from these shitty movies and go see it...

I thought it was pretty good myself. It's pretty low brow comedy, but it had me laughing. The chest waxing scene was great.

That is EXACTLY why I hate professional movie reviews. When I go to a movie I want to laugh my ass off, it's a comedy, not a documentary. I want to see dumb humor that will make me laugh and feel good. You don't have to be of low intelligence to appreciate it.

I saw it today and liked it... as everyone has said it did kinda run long, especially 3/4 in but it was a funny movie and I liked it a lot. Can't wait to see Duece Bigalow soon.

Uhhhh...the "tripe" and "uninspired" comments were about the quality of the comedy, guy...Dumb and Dumber this ain't. Sorry to burst your bubble.

And as I noted, Wedding Crashers/Anchorman are good examples of low-brow humor that get it right. Both Douche Bigalow and this 40-Year Old Virgin movie missed.
