    What exactly is open srs?

    I have several domains at directnic and one says its registered through open srs. Is that good or bad?

          This domain must have been registered awhile ago. DirectNIC has not used openSRS for years. Once we got ICANN approval we have operated on our own.

              Used to great for people to resell domains with their own registration front end, but the wholesale cost was like $10 per, and that's not really competitive these days.
