Actually Bob Holly did get to main event a PPV this past year fighting for the title versus Lesnar. Now he didn't win it, but in my view he doesn't seem like champion material either.

Billy Gunn has gotten numerous attempts at making him a singles star...They let him win King of the Ring, get singles wins over people he shouldnt beat, etc.....He just doesn't seem to catch on with the fans as a singles guy

i guess you're right. they do give a shot to main eventers, but if nothing clicks, they get dropped.

I never got to see JBL yet in his current persona....no damn wrestling on tv here even by satellite.

From what I've read though, he sounds like a pretty cool character. Way better than the texan cowboy anyways.

New Jack kicked major ass, but I haven't seen him around much...loved the staplegun he used to carry around....then ended up getting stapled in the eye...

ever hear of the "Mass Transit" incident?

back in 96, Axl Rotten and D-Von Dudley were set to take on New Jack and his partner in an ECW match. that night, some 17 year old, 400 lb kid named Eric Kulas bullshitted his way into the backstage area with the help of his dad.

Eric Kulas had done a little wrestling in a backyard federation, but nothing big at all. Axl Rotten pulled a no-show and Paul Heyman was looking for someone to replace him. Eric volunteered, showed Heyman a fake id and said he had experience. Paul was stuck, so he decided to let the kid wrestle. he was wearing a bus driver's outfit, so they called him Mass Transit.

the 2 teams were backstage talking and planning the match. they wanted the kid to blade (cut his forhead to draw blood). he said he'd never done it before and asked New Jack to do it for him.

the match started, D-Von taggen in Mass Transit and New Jack went wild on the kid. it was obvious the kid didn't belong there. he worked him "stiff" meaning he didn't pull his punches or anything. when the time came to blade, he sliced the kid's forehead so deep that he severed 2 arteries. people had no idea how serious it was and kept chanting shit like "Kill the fat boy".

moments later, the match ended and the kid didn't get up. EMTs rushed to help him. he had passed out from loss of blood. he had to get 50 stitches to close the wound.

on the way out, New Jack walked by Heyman and said "I hope the fat fuck dies". the kid sued but the suit was rejected as Eric's story kept changing.

the kid died in 2001, unrelated to the incident.

I heard last time Sid Vicious showed up at the ISW show he hogged the mike for about an hour and was mumbling nonsense!
