Soft lighting is not in my opinion indicative of higher end shooters. That pic that
I posted here today for example was shot with a raw strobe (notice the hard
shadows under her fingers caused by her fingernails. Don't get stuck in the rut
of using only soft light, the possibilities are endless, experiment
