I used to play WC3 but then it became mundane, nothing ruins a game more than starting to play it online, getting beaten a lot, getting a build list or learning it from practice and realizing how to exploit the game.........
Use workers to farm gold
build build build more farmers
farm wood
build hero maker
build strongest hero
send him/her to micro
decide if you are going to use large force or tech build to win
build small cost man power army or build tech/preist shooter army with support
build second hero
build tower units
disrupt enemy hero micro and base macro
cut off gold
