My Pinschers keep the theives away.
I was at a Nextel store buying something. It wasn't a phone I forget, maybe a cord or something. I go to pay with my debit card. Declined. I gave her my credit card. They got a message to call. While she was on the phone I couldn't figure out what was going on. She answered all of the questions yes or no. She looked at me suspiciously and with a little bit of fear. Me scary? What?
The next thing I know Police come in behind me.
The lady said to the cop. "This guy (me) is using stolen cards".
I said, "what are you talking about?"
So they start asking me questions. And I said. "This is ridiculous. All she needed to do was check my ID"
Apparenly someone had bought $35,000 of commercial gym fitness equipment on one of my accounts earlier that day and cleaned out my checking account on a flurry of purchases.
The good thing, the accounts were closed and my money was returned.
The bad thing, the insecurity of realizing that there are some people who are so clever to work hard to steal when they could be putting that energy into being something other than low-life scum.
