I beleive today's top webmasters are making more money than webmasters of the 1990's. They may be working harder, but they're making more IMO.

In 1997 type in domains were easy available and converting 1:50 and your gallery with stolen Playboy content was submitted by surfers to TheHun and made $1k overnight, at least according to the stories I've been reading

Not to mention that you could get listed easily on SE's etc since there was hardly any competition.

Nowadays in almost every field there're 10k other people doing the same as you.
    I don't use ICQ anymore.

Back then all we had to do was upload a photo or two in the Usenet newsgroups with our URL on it and we'd get 25+ signups to our paysite.

Things were a lot more money back then -- bandwidth was $12.50/gig when I began plus co-lo fees.

I remember when I had 3,000 people a day on my site and that was outrageous. Today that site is still up and if I only get 3,000 people a day, I think something is wrong
Make bank by giving your surfers free pics every day and it costs you NOTHING! Use POTD Sponsors to find adult sponsors in more than 75 niches who offer a POTD feature!
