              Then at least use
              Spywareblaster
              Spywareguard
              Google Toolbar

all free, and that will help.

i manually went in and found what was added..

i wish i was thinking more and wrote down what was where, i dont think im still done though... but i did remove 3 wares so far..

3 of them are not well hidden, just goto add/remove programs and find them... they are all from the same company (they have the same forced survey before uninstall.. and you HAVE to answer it)

i just put for all my answers "other" and listed "other" as

                "FUCK YOU AND YOUR SPYWARE"

i wanna kinda install it again and listen to the packets being sent, copy them andf code a quick vb program that just floods their servey with my answer...

Do you have XP SP2 installed? It's the latest service pack released from Microsoft. Lots of spyware prevention stuff in it.

You might be interested in reading this review of the SP2, it isn't as robust as they would have you believe.

Yeah I have read the articles regarding it. Theres always going to be holes. I have been using this computer with XP on it for nearly two years and I have never had a problem with viruses and or spyware. I reboot maybe once every two weeks and I always have twenty-something windows open and I spent 8+ hours a day sitting here. This computer still runs as fast as the day I bought it. (knock on wood)

I think most of the problems with spyware and viruses are user error. People just need to pay attention to the programs and websites they are using.
