How To Make Thumbnails from MPG/WMV Files

How do YOU make your thumbnails from MPG/WMV/AVI files (for MGP templates)?

I found a program, but its $35US. I will pay this BUT first just checking if anyone knows of a cheaper solution.

    Thanks!

Personnaly I use Light Allow media player. It allows you to push F12 during a playback and saves a frame capture as a .bmp file.

I'm sorry, but which part you don't understand?
Search for VirtualDub 1.3c, that is last mod with wmv support

I've just found that BSPlayer at www.bsplayer.org can do frame captures too. And there's a free version available.

Media Player Classic, looks like windows media player 6.4 (the old one) but is full of really nice features.
