Who the fuck decided to put Allie with Elli?

You do have a good point, but of course there are exceptions to every rule. If Elli was a bit late just this one time, do you really think they'd disqualify her of all people?Originally posted by Jake
I certainly don?t have a problem with the pairing of Allie and Elli however I do have a bit of a problem with allowing a late entry into the competition.
Allie and I were out of town when the contest was announced and we arrived home buried chest deep in all the shit that piles up when you leave town for a week. Allie still managed to meet the submission deadline for this week?s competition. Had she known the ?deadline? really wasn?t a ?deadline? I?m sure she would have put more time into the ?production? of her entry.
Nothing against Elli here, both Allie and I think she?s the greatest! However if there was an entry deadline and it wasn?t met then it?s not really fair to the rest of the contestants to allow that entry into the competition.
I?m not trying to stir up any drama here but it just doesn?t seem to be in keeping with the spirit of a competition.
Besides, the entire contest is behind 'deadline,' so perhaps tardiness IS in the spirit of the competition. (ok, bad joke, however it does have some truth to it....)Comment

For the record:
I shot the pictures last Wednesday. Then I was in Tucson Thursday til Tuesday. I had it stuck in my head that the submission was due Tuesday for some unfathomable reason. So I sent them in happily Tuesday night, not realizing my mistake until I re-read the MissGFY.com page. D'oh!
But they were done way early. I did not require any extra time for the assignment. You can check the file dates if you like.email: [email protected]Comment

Elli, before I begin I want to stress that this is nothing against you personally. As previously stated, Allie and I both think very highly of you. I?m not even looking at this issue from the perspective of Allie VS Elli. For me the issue is regarding the ?spirit of competition?, period. The two individuals themselves are irrelevant to the discussion.Originally posted by Elli

Analogy: If one of the sprinters in the recent Olympic Games had spent 4 years training for a race only to show up for the race a day late because she thought the race was on Tuesday when it was actually on Monday they certainly wouldn?t have re-run the race in order to give her the opportunity to compete.
Ok, so the Miss GFY contest is hardly on par with the Olympics Games however, the point I'm trying to make here is either it?s a competition that has rules and regulations to be followed by all contestants or it?s simply not a ?competition? at all.Comment

Touche' The rules should be applied fairly and equitably, otherwise it creates the impression that the organizers are favoring certain candidates. Other worthy entrants have dropped out, knowing that their other commitments prevented them from getting their entries in on time; and rules were not bent to indulge them.

I agree with you, Jake. But this far into the game, wouldn't you rather win outright than have your competition disqualified on a technicality?email: [email protected]Comment

I'm not a competitor in this contest however to answer your question, any true competitor would prefer an ?outright win? over a win resulting from a disqualified opponent.Originally posted by Elli

That still doesn't change my opinion that a competition should be governed by rules and regulations that apply equally to all the competitors.
Based on Lensman?s response to Sleazy?s post it appears that your late entry had an impact on the pairings across the board.
Unless they planned to have Allie run unopposed then each of you would have been paired against another competitor, thus potentially impacting the outcome of the competition for every one of the girls involved.Originally posted by Lensman
It was because Elli was late with her entry. She should probably have had to drop out. There are so many strong girls, that at some point, 2 strong ones have to go head to head.Comment

I agree about the rules. But I am glad that I got to stay in (at least so far).Originally posted by Jake

That's not really how I read Lensman's post, but ok.
So it was bound to happen at some point, especially now that we're getting down to the nitty gritty.Originally posted by Lensman

Elli was probably allowed in because they needed a pair for Allie. Who else would Allie have competed with? I could have dressed up and done something cute but I hardly think that would be fair, Allie's big toe would squash me in any competition!Originally posted by Jake

Seriously dude, you're taking this too personal and ruining any fun. You probably have Elli feeling bad now because of the whole "late" thing. Get over it, move on, don't participate in another GFY competition if you're taking it so hard.
I see all of these other girls like Zoe and Nikki having a great time and are happy/shocked that they have lasted this long. And then there's you and a couple other guys complaining about who knows what. This contest was supposed to be a 10 week deal from the start, obviously it hasn't been, the rules have been bent here and there.
I was a "hater" for a while there, but now I'm enjoying what's left because it's cool to see all the ladies having a great time. I hope Allie is having a good time, that was the point.PHAT SERVERS - Quality dedicated hosting at a quality price!

I wonder if anyone else has been late with an entry so far? I'd venture to guess "yes" (though it hasn't been MOI!).Comment

The rules are not set in stone... I was disqualified back in round 3 for sending in a fisting picture, yet on any day here you can find plenty of ******* pics, or goatse, or, or, or...
But, I'm still happy.

With all of the stuff that gets posted here on a daily basis, I would have never thought a fisting pic would have caused a commotion... I was wrong.Comment
