There's a difference in accessibility, nothing else. If publishers are paid from the library, a bookstore or from advertisings at a website makes no difference to me. I don't think this will hurt the publishers financial, because in the end it will reach more people. It's not piracy, and if the music and movie industry would follow same path, they would make money instead of fighting technology.

not paid from libraries. Libraries
loan the copies they have out but don't provide a free permanent copy to those who want one. It
would hurt publishers if they did, same if they were giving out free permanent copies of music and video to everyone who wanted one.
