The flowers must have done the trick. It's like she gave them back to you with her post (metaphorically speaking).
Much better than her aiming them at your noggin' - that vase looks lethal.
My wife actually saves all of the flowers I give her, dries them and then makes them into potpourri (the potpourri stays in her drawers...I told her I don't like my skivvies smelling that way, hehe).
Another good thing about that arrangement is that Tiger Lillies and Sunflowers last a long time.
