Preparing for the hurricane, who's leaving Florida?????

The schools are closed till Tuesday. I'm trying to decide weather to leave or not....and where to go. Who's leaving Florida and where are you going??? If your not leaving how are you preparing for the storm?

The last hurricane we where without power for 6 days you couldn't get gas, water, ice....what a mess! and this one is going to be worst.

depends where it decides to hit.. If we just get the north end of the storm I'll probally stay.. but if the storm is going to be more of a direct hit up here I think I'll just go for a drive if nothing else..

Kinda hard to decide where to go.. I almost think south is the best option.

I just heard they are going to start evacuating tomorrow night. The roads are going to be terrible so, I'm debating leaving tonight.

We are staying until at least Thursday night, no idea where to go north, west or South until it gets closer so no point in running until then.

It's going hit Flordia hard. Probally as a catagory 5 hurricane. I would say something comparable to Hurricane Andrew. Everyone be careful

I'd say best bet is go south.. It's going at a upward angle in all the maps.. but still it's really hard to take a good guess..

I got a loft and enough blankets and pillows for someone to come and stay if needed. Just do not be allergic to animals and not averse to a house that's definately lived-in.

Apparently there is a high pressure system developing off Jacksonville, which, if it gains any strength, should actually pull the storm more to the north, unless the storm takes a turn to the west before it meshes with the system.

So things might not be that bad for S Florida, but could turn into real problems in N Florida instead.
