I am going to go out on a limb here, and probably recieve a flame or two.... but...
Someone who is straight up asking for a thank-you, is someone you don't want a favour from anyways...IMO
You know damn well that dude is thanking you over and over again for the cab-jockeying.... and the brothership you gave him while taking care of his drunk ass...
But for the $40.00 cab ride, where were you sending him? I have been to Montreal a shit-load of times, and you could go back and forth from one end to the other for $25.00... and if your complaining about 40.00 dollars, you need to start making some more money.
