There's something in my garage behind a bunch of storage containers. It's moving and rustling and it sounds big -- much bigger than a rat. Maybe a possum or something.

But the other clue is that it stinks to high heaven. It's a rank, stomach-turning odor, but it's not a skunk.

Ain't a homeless man. The smell doesn't smell like B.O. or anything I've smelled before.

I live in a semi-rural area and we have lots of rabbits, lizards, coyotes, etc.

Didn't think of a snake. It would have to be pretty big to make as much noise as it is.

I've dealt with opossums and never noticed a smell but maybe they can secrete one if they're scared or something?
