                            Tit for tat-ery rarely works. It's bad enough that one side does it because they're bureaucratic and hidebound. Doing it intentionally because you're a petulant asshole (or represent petulant assholes) doesn't make it better.

                            Basically what happens to get booted, its easy. There are no guidelines immigration officials have to follow to allow or deny your entry to Canada. They are allowd to make their own snap decisions that affect peoples entire lives. Even though most immigration officals are just college students working in summer jobs.

                            So they have the power to decide if they like you or not. If they like you your in, if they dont your out and you have to go petition the consoluate to allow reentry.

                            Its all bullshit. I dont even want to be here. I am simply stuck here until my damn wife finishes school next year. I have tried pleading with these jerk offs to just give me an extended visitor pass because as soon as she graduates we go on our honeymoon and we move stright to the U.S., but they still insit on my becoming a "permanent resident" even though I wont be here long enough to even be granted permanent residency. (i.e. it is over a year waiting time in Buffalo to even have your package opened and another year or two for review even after you have paid your $2,000+.)

                            I have no problem with most Canadian people, I have got along with most people here and fit in quite well. A number of people, especially my wifes family, have gone out of their way to make me feel at home while I am here. But the fucking goverment has such a chip on their shoulder about not being as powerful as America its unreal. And they have decided to take it out on us indiviually because they cannot bully us they way they wish.

                            I look at the Canadian goverment as the 3rd grade bully that always gets his ass kicked by the 5th graders on the playground so on the way home he beats up little 1st graders. Thats basically what they do.
                            You're definitely entitled to be grumpy, considering... but keep in mind that immigration types are hardly grade A entering into the US. They typically seem to have barely passed high school, can be equally as random as to whom to allow entry to, and instead of just doing it part time have actually made a life out of being a paid asshole. You'd probably have to look around a while before you found a 'nuck that went south for a visit who wasn't harassed by some knuckle-dragging buckethead having a slow day.... I've been denied entry by some, pushed my flight back til a few hours later and the next time around went through with nary a glance.

                            Not that it makes your life easier. Just pointing out that ignorance can, and does, cut both ways.

                            I hope it works out for you... or at the very least you can tolerate the bullshit until it becomes a nonissue.
