Aw chase that's very brave of you to share that. I have always been a big believer in making sure you're not alone at a convention. I always like to have a guy with me. It just feels safer because when something like this happens it's usually very unexpected and can be misunderstood from the distance by onlookers as something you are allowing.
I can name off quite a few incidents where I was comforted by others with class that came to MY rescue so to speak.
First time that ever happened to me was in Lensmans suite years ago.. they were about to do a shoot or something and some dickhead was being really pushy and talking to me like I was a total two bit whore trying to get me over to the couch etc etc... Lens came out of nowhere and took care of the situation lickity split...
Another time was in Mike Prices suite.. some dickhead who wasn't even a webmaster managed to wander in and start bugging some of the other girls there and they kinda reached out to me to warn me or help them somehow.. then the fucker came at me trying shit and I simply said "Hey Mike this dude needs to GO" and without question, BOOM, GONE!
Oh I could go on and on but the most recent was in Cancun, I was with Brad Shaw and friends and he had some guy that was from there that ran some sort of Cancun forum or something... out of the industry but Brad knew him somehow and had invited him to come along. It wasn't two glasses of cristal later the fucker was rubbing my leg and shit being a total sicko. Brad had his ass carried out instantly by like 4 guys.. threw his ass right out of the place pronto.
If you ever need help with anything.. that goes for any of the girls who might not know alot of people personally, all you really need to do is gesture to SOMEONE... if you don't get action, keep trying... SOMEONE will help you. The large majority of this industry has no respect for assholes like this.
