I think you missed the point of his post. Yes, they were both large wars, but Vietnam was highly protested by Americans because they felt we were at war unjustly. WWII however, American's backed, there was an actual threat to our homeland. This war we're in now, and the Gulf and Vietnam Wars before it are all rediculous wastes of time, lives and money. The only reason to back this war was if Saddam actually had ANYTHING to do with 9/11, or had WMD, neither of which have been proved to be true.

In order for there to be civil war people have to be desperate to the point they have lost all hope. We are far from that, BUT, I don't think we've even come close to seeing what the Bush admin is capable of. If Bush stays in power there will be no more motivation to please the voters since he cannot run again and thats when this admin will run wild with their agenda.
I do believe they have it in them to become another Nazi style regime and far more dangerous. This admin is backed by hate, right wingers with a voice are calling anyone who disagrees with Bush traitors and commies. They have no problem with pre-emptive invasions or stripping civil rights. It is a recipe for disaster just waiting to happen.
