If you understood about camera specially sony's you would know that when it is sitting idle it will switch to demo mode. That shows the low battery logo then some other crap, then the camera cycles off. Does not matter if it has a batter in it or if your using the outlet plug.Originally posted by CaptainObviousI wasn't bitching that the cam was down, I just think its funny that the low battery flashed on the screen then 30 sec later the cam is gone.

Camera guy just needs to pop a tape in it and shut the camera door, that ussually stops it on sony's. Otherwise it is the other way around, no tape and door open (older models).
Some do have a setting inside of the menu to dissabled demo though but that does not stop the cycle off.Comment

It makes perfect sense.Originally posted by CaptainObviousThanks Captain Obvious!

Plug camera into wall, leave tape door open. Camera shows sony default display w/ low battery warning then cycles to off mode.
Put tape in close door, keep pluged in wall and it dissables the demo cycle.
As $pikes said it works fine now. I happen to know Sony cams very well.Comment
