I got pulled with a aluminum softball bat, i just explained it away as company softball.
Heres the deal though, if someone wants to kick your ass...& they have no weapon....& you're not a woman....you pretty much HAVE to defend yourself with your hands...otherwise you're going to be in a legal grey area, especially with a bat.
So either carry a gun (just drawing it will stop someone), pepper spray (perfectly effective & non lethal), or carry nothing at all.
Plus you can take mace/pepper into a bar, resteraunt etc., where as a gun canno't be taken into an establishment that serves liquir. Or a church, or a bank etc.
