Couple weeks ago I was looking at 42" LCDs for around $1400. I about cried. Just 14 months ago I paid $1000 for my 30" flat screen.

Thats a great price for a Wega.. sweet tv's. I bought a 32 inch tv for my bedroom a couple months ago.. and it was like 300 bucks.

I didn't think THAT many people are buying the plasma's and the LCDs.. but they must be.

Yeah prices have gone down a ton. This system was over 7k last year and now you can get it for about 4k. When the prices drop to a reasonable level they will come out with something new again lol.

I dunno why people pay thousands and thousands for a good tv ...

well actually I don't watch tv much myself ... but I'd invest in a super multi screen computer system b4 a tv .

I read that Sony and one of the other big flat screen companies plan on dropping the price by as much as 30% to boost sales to more people.

In America they will switch to all digital signal thanks to FCC Jan 1 2006 ... Apparently Cable/Satellite providers or you buying a box to convert the signal back to analog will be needed, maybe TV manufacturers are just trying to deplete stock, before people realize it...

I would love to have a nice big plasma tv someday but right now I'd settle for a regular 36" tv. But we don't watch enough tv and our tv is good enough that I can't justify spending the money.
