I'll go with good old fashioned brass knuckles. Virtually impossible to drop / become disarmed, easily concealed. If someone pulls a knife, you could literally hit the knife with your fist and the person may even drop it. Easily disguised as a belt buckle (that's how I got mine). No damage/fatigue to your hand. A hit to a person's face is pretty much an automatic broken nose. I'm talking muggings, here, I had a close call last weekend in Brooklyn, and since I flew up I had nothing on me. Luckily, there were enough people around so the dudes thought twice. I don't feel safe anymore without some kind of a weapon on me.
