    The hipocrosy here is amazing

    Since Brandon isn't getting responses... well because he is Brandon... I thought I would post my response to his thread here...

    It's funny how someone with a large post count can ask for proxies, bp hosting, or email lists, etc, etc, etc and everyone will do what they can to help.

    But if someone with a low post count asked about bp hosting or proxies... he would get flamed for being a spammer.

    I'm not trying to single out anyone in this thread but I have seen it so many times where a high post count person will say something and the sheep will respond in a positive manner.

    At the same time a low post count person (NOOB) can say the same thing and get lynched.

    Another example is someone with a high post count can say " I just took a shit" and it will be a 3 page thread...but someone with a low post count posts that and it's on the 4th page faster than you can say "OraclePorn got banned"


    I have also had people on here that I thought were friends cut n paste icq convos to other people.... shit list for life.

    I have alot of people I am cool with on this board, in this business, but few I would, or they would consider true friends. There are some I will go to bat for in a heartbeat and others I wouldn't piss on if they were on fire on the side of the road.

                                      I can understand why high count posters get more attention though. Keep in mind that this is all coming from a "noob".

                                      1. They've been around longer and doing business with someone you already know is easier and even preferable to doing business with a stranger.

                                      2. I'm sure that lots of people with low post counts show up, spam and leave. I haven't been posting long, but I've seen a few examples of it already.

I've been around for 3+ years but I work too much to make 10-20 nonsense posts a day. I have a hard time believing that post-count has a direct correlation to business accumen.....

Some of us here to make biz, to meet new ppl who are in the same biz etc. etc. etc. but i'd say that the number of posts doesn't mean anything...3-4 years ago u were at our shoes. It doesn'mean that we're in biz just from yesterday or we're fucking spammers, it means that we came here to share what we have done already, see what is new in our biz, make biz with smn. else etc.

                                                                                                                                                                              Of course post count has no relation to business ability, but it does have a direct correlation to familiarity. I've seen a lot of business done over drinks and loud music, and a lot more business done because someone reckognizes someone else. That's the way of the world and that transfers onto internet message boards as post counts.

                                                                                                                                                                              I'm no different, I'm diliberatley trying to get my post count up so that the next time I meet everyone they'll already know me. I have no doubt that will make business a lot easier. If nothing else, it gets introductory small talk out of the way, which is conversation hell to me.

I've been around for 3+ years but I work too much to make 10-20 nonsense posts a day. I have a hard time believing that post-count has a direct correlation to business accumen.....
                                                                                                                                                                                                  i tend to agree. taking it a step further, i think high post counts means that someone was just not that busy and had a tremendous amount of time on their hands to post on the boards.
