So we're letting the EU deal with Iran....And....

The Iranians have announced a general "fuck off", we're building our reactors & research centers anyways.

"The Europeans say they cannot understand why Iran would want a plutonium-producing heavy water reactor when its whole enrichment programme is based on uranium, but Iran has rejected an offer from the European Union to help it get a light-water research reactor in exchange for giving up its heavy-water project."

So now the question is, how long until Israel launches an attack on their buildings and provokes Iran, Syria...& Russia.

I don't like the way it's going, I think they're painting a picture that isn't accurate here.
IRan may have honest intentions but do they or don't they?
It's not a country though it's a handful of leaders that we have to worry about. Why don't we sell them water then in exchange for lower oil prices if all they really want is water I'll give them some.

their regime is'nt much better than Iranian one, but they allow american forces to build base in their country

But when it comes to Iranor North Korea, which is in USA blacklist, it sounds like drama.

Sorry, but ....what are you talking about? There was HUGE amount of opposition by the US government to India and Pakistan arming themselves.

Why would Iran, or any other country want a nuke? Hmmm let's see..

The Bush administration, as well as other countries are all up in other country's kitchen all of the time. Telling them what to, and not to do. Threatening strikes, and all the other wonderful things.

However, when you see the countries who have nukes.. N.Korea, Russia, Pakistan, India, Isreal they are not kicked around as much, and are treated with more respect. You do not see the EU, US, or other countries always trying to bully another nuclear power.

In the third world, when you see the overall global politics, and trying to keep other countries out of your kitchen, a nuclear program might look like a good alternative. Plus in the middle east, I am sure all of the muslim countries who absolutely hate Isreal, are not all that comfortable with them being a nuclear power. Much less some of the nearby Pakistan's and so on.

So in the biggest johnson catagory, if they can get the technology, and hold a stand up with being bullied around all the time, then it looks advantagous. N Korea's an enormous pain in the ass to Japan, US, and S.Korea to name a few, but you do not see the Bush administration threatening them all of the time, as we do with some other countries.

Like I said in my post... there WAS a huge amount of opposition....when it happened.

Whenever a country first goes nuclear we tend to oppose it. Then if it happens anyway we learn to deal with it. It's the only pragmatic solution

Iraq had a nuclear facilty which was bombed by israel in 1980, the americans never claimed that iraq had nuclear weapons.

China are communists...you really think they'll fight against North Korea? i think what will happend is that they will go to war against the US before they will fight North Korea...the chinese has nothing to do there.

Nobody is worried about Iran launching nukes at anyone.......

They are more worried about islamic extremists getting jobs there and stealing bits and pieces. Iran has more islamic extremists than Iraq ever did.
