It terrible news for anyone who wants to do the lifestyle. I believe the reason they have trouble is that the major backers of it (All the Edge products) saw profits dip on their normal line of food products. People eat less food on Adkins so they sell less bags of doritos.Comment

The problem Atkins probably has is you buy the first book, and then when you go to health food stores to buy the special low carb products, they have much cheaper competing products right next to them. I did a low carb diet as a 2 month thing and it worked great for me, but I bought the $1.99 3-Carb bars instead of the $2.99 Atkins bars, and then just made my own meals using stuff from the grocery instead of Atkins brand supplements.Comment
