Went to the store today and most of the laptops were so damn huge. I am looking for a nice small laptop (12-13" screen) but don't want to pay $2K for a Sony Vioe. I found some Averatec laptop for only about $850, which is very small but looks cheap. Are there any other brands out there?

I haven't had a laptop for years. Last one I owned singed my pubic hair through my jeans. When I go out or away now, I leave the computers at home. -

try a fujitsu lifebook... they do have them in a smaller size. im looking at a smaller sized laptop for shits n giggles but i'll probably go with a vaio.Comment

most new laptops have big ass screens which most people like. Myself I have a big ass Sager notebook, more less a desktop replacement but I haul it to the office pretty much all the time.Comment

Check Samsung X10 or X15 series.
They are very small and pretty cool and aren't too expensive.
