Who here uses SAP to run his business?

Does anybody here use SAP to run his business? If not, do you use any other similiar software?

What's your experience with it if you use it.

    Let me know ...

Just wondering but why would you need such software?
What what a 'normal' porn business do with it?

I'm just reading up on it now.. Seems very IT geared, big hosting companies, software companies, and such.. Assest management, etc..

Not that I know what you do
I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have any need for it..

Well, some people on here run some well-sized networks ...

I could imagine Lars or KRL use such software or at least something similiar ...

Asset Management / Process Optimization / Integration are some of the things I need

Well, I don't watch the footsteps of every person on this board. I know there are people that constantly bash him saying he doesn't make money on his domains or does not own them.

Maybe he's not a monster, but he is definitely not "nothing" ...

SAP is kinda too big for this industry..

SAP is a system for big companies, with many sales people, selling goods and similar things, not really for porn, makes no sense there, totally overkill..

And SAP is slowly dieing btw, although they will claim they do not, but its getting dangerous, their whole platform is VERY old, it requires extreme work. Basically, all these big consulting companies make LARGE percentages of their money with SAP integration. SAP is NOT cheap.. you can spend MILLIONS on this system because there is no "basic" setup.

Cisco for example already moved most of their stuff to sForce.com ... SalesForce's hosted solution... for their whole Customer Relationship Management.. Of course, SAP is a lot more than just that... but there is a reason why SAP is investing something like 400 million EUR to totally rewrite their platform.

What does he own except for poorly developed men.com? Nothing, it's all fried air and a little bit of advertising brokerage.

While my current company is very optimized "small" if you would.. I have ran my share of "large" operations I work with a few big companies currently too. I just haven't heard of anyone in our business using such software.

I could see that a bigger DVD company could use this, maybe someone like Hustler? I don?t see how the adult business as a whole would use this, not even the ?big boys?.

                          Informative Post

I find the SAP Business One solution appealing for middle-sized or small businesses. It's affordable and has all the features I'll need.

Maybe somebody has this Software and can contribute his experience with it?

I can't see how SAP could have any use in this business, beside your business is selling porn DVDs at a large scale, but even then it's a waste of money.

SAP is a pure money blackhole, especially if you have their "specialists" setting up everything and doing custom jobs which take at least twice as much time as they told you before.
