I had a blast in Italy back in 91 I really need to go back as a civilian and check it out...
I spent most of my off duty time at the beaches not far from Aviano AB & Pordenone where I was staying...
However, when I'm semi-retired I plan on possibly moving to Crete if it's as nice as I hear from some people I know...
