I always thought they were anonymous in the sense that they hid the user's IP. Nothing preventing a website owner from seeing that a proxy is making a request on his server, right?Originally posted by Myst

I don't think anyone's answering because it's just to stupid of a question. But if it will be the death of this thread, I will help.
Go Here and download one of those trial programs. It will automatically connect to a server and retrieve huge lists and even scan proxies for you.
