Hate to burst your bubble but in five to ten years there won't be a single US troop left in the region, and Iraq will be an Islamic theocracy with extremely close ties to Iran. They're already being asked to leave the Central Asian airfields they set up before the Afghanistan invasion, with Russia and China helping push them out.
