    Regarding sexsearch.com

Is anyone elses Geoips showing locations that are WAY off from where you are really at? Not like a city next to yours but like another state entirely?

No Geo IP database is 100%, or even 90% accurate... As far as proximity, it's not like satellite gps technology where you are trying to zero in to the nearest mile... In most cases either you'll get your ISP's city, or you'll get the nearest major routing point, or sometimes the city of an ISP who used to own the block of IP's you are on.

Which banner specifically are you talking about?
Some people don't hotlink the banner properly, and that can show the improper location.

If you tell me which banner you are looking at, I can tell you for sure if its a problem with the geo script or the way the banner is linked.

          I relize that.
I just figured it would narrow me down to something closer than Saint Louis when I am in California.

honestly it happens with nearly every Sex search banner I come across.
Send me a link to one right now that you know is set up properly and I will tell you what it says.

Then you don't realize it... The problem with geo targeting is when it's accurate it's accurate, and when it's not it's not... The level of accuracy has nothing to do with geography or physical distance. You can't say it's more accurate because it thought you were in Nevada versus New York because you live in California.

Fuze explained it well to me.
Apparently my ISP (charter) has not had my group of IPS scanned yet.
