Why rely on the limited API when you can hack around it and then have a proxy feature ready to start if they somehow should ban you? I have extracted close to 10 million Google results in one day and haven't experienced a ban yet.

Oh, I know and I loved it...I'm impressed you grabbed 10 million url's.

Well, it is more just about using the API for me and having fun...but of course there is always the next step you can bring these things to.

What is it supposed to do?
I don't see any valid advantage except that you allow your surfers to make fast searches from your site. And if so, then it's better to build your own search engine and use it to index your own sites and the sites that partner with you somehow... And probably it's faster to build your own SE than building such a thing... at least it took me 20 minutes to get the mine up and running.

Probably I'm getting your concept wrong and that thingy is intended to be used for other stuff instead.

Hey PowerCum...it depends what you want. First, it allows you to quickly check the top 50 results for your site. Then say you want to find revelent sites to trade links with, it is pretty fast compaired to using google. Or if you want to get outbound links, etc.

It is definately more impressive when you grab 1000 rather than 50, but the API only allows 1000 searches a day and each search only returns 10 results.
