I didn't think of this as a Tom Cruise movie, I just like sci-fi flicks. Killer special effects, and honestly, I didn't think the story was so weak/awful. I know it is cool to bash Cruise, but this was a good sci-fi movie. Entertaining, and worth the eight bucks or whatever it costs to get in the theater.Comment

PLUS: Many unexplained situations in the movie. For example: If all the cars in the world are broken, how does Tom Cruise manage to find the one car in the world that works. A couple of DJs 'remixed' or dubbed over the original CBC broadcast with some cool drum & bass, trance and other electronic delights, and I must admidt, for the first time I listened to the entire thing.
