    MSN Virtual Earth

Following in Google's Earth footsteps, MSN now has a cool "local search" tool using satellite images. You can also check your location by wi-fi or IP Address:

Seems to be a little buggy in Firefox (big suprise there!)

It's also "open source" (so to speak) so developers can add the functionality to their own sites (can use say "Find sexy singles and get laid in _____ tonight!")

Good application. Microsoft should go back to working on the stability and usability of their own programs and worry less about Google. Google can do their own thing and should. Gates should focus on the task at hand. Stable programs and operating systems.

I live in Jersey and when I said to show me where I am it took me to Maine....big surprise, MS isn't used to making stuff that works probably. With any luck they'll spend so much time worrying about google, they'll dig their own grave and go under. One could only hope....

I love how all the military installations are airbrushed all to hell, and then you can't zoom in closer than 4 clicks away in Google maps. It's fun looking at Area 51. ;)
