Why candid hosting changed their name for powermedium?

I have there two servers with domains i bought recently. The hosting plan for two servers will be moved to my responsibility too. But whats strange, that with new contract they are trying to pushing me into 1-year term commitment for their servers. It seems to me really strange...

Does anyone know, why they have change their name from candidhosting to powermedium?

Do not sign a contract and get out now.

They were bought out by hostway a while ago.

Hit me up, I can get you moved fast so that you can cancel before entering your contract.

What (seriously) is wrong with Powermedium? I've been hosted with Candid about a year; maybe 6 months ago or so they changed the name. I haven't noticed anything different.

In all that time I have had excellent service and uptime. This is for self-managed hosting, so I really am not expecting anything other than stellar uptime. I monitor the 2 servers there with ipcheck, average downtime is about a minute a month, although once or twice a year I am seeing maybe 10 minutes of downtime.

Should I run? I'm not overly concerned, as all my servers are mirrored to different isps (I don't trust anybody) once per hour.
                    I have no signature

It might have been powerful if you would've provided some insight as to why you feel this way. I remember you used to work for them. What experiences or information do you have regarding Candid/powermedium, that would justify your comment?
