Personally, I find that a lot of people who say they are Wiccan, do it just because it is easier to give it a label that people are familiar with (although, not often comfortable with, lol). I think a lot of "Wiccan" are more general pagans.

Exactly and what I said early I didnt nail down to Wicca for they guy who said I was completely incorrect, hence the line where I said I dont think they called it Wicca back then. Wicca is definitely an updated version of a very old religion or belief system. Wicca is very tied into the ancient religions observing certain ancient rituals, as well as observing certain ancient Pagan Holidays. Gardner didnt just create the religion (Wicca) up out of the blue, he compounded and modernized an already existing religion, maybe even several religions, pre-christian religion(s).
